Project Overview
This five-storey, 250,000 sq. ft. LEED Platinum facility is a major academic and research hub for the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Health Sciences. It’s designed to be highly energy efficient while maintaining optimal indoor environmental quality for the building’s laboratories, teaching spaces, and administrative offices.
Scope of Work
As the mechanical design-build partner, DILFO delivered the full LEED Platinum mechanical scope including:
- Plumbing and piping systems,
- HVAC and ventilation systems, and,
- Building controls.
These systems were engineered to be high performing, reliable and sustainable while also supporting the strict standards required in laboratory settings.
