Seeking an Intermediate level Coordinator to report to the CAD & BIM Manager

The Role

    We are seeking individuals with AutoCAD experience and knowledge of building electrical and mechanical systems to join the DILFO team. The primary day-to-day focus would be AutoCAD drafting, interference drawings, as-built drawings, and fabrication drawing in order to support our construction team. Must be able to critically look at designs and systems in order to identify opportunities for added efficiency, identify potential interferences, and be able to effectively communicate those issues and propose possible solutions.

 
Key Responsibilities
 
 

    • Drawing plans and details
    • Identify mechanical structural openings to be sleeved
    • Configure equipment, lay-outs and accessibility
    • Produce overlay drawings for all trades
    • Make sketches for RFI’s (requests for information)
    • Create fabrication sheets and installation drawings
    • Submit as-built drawings

Knowledge and Technical Skills:

    • Knowledge of local building codes and standards is considered an asset
    • AutoCAD and/or Revit experience
    • Additional technical software such as Navisworks, Fabrication MEP is an asset
    • Windows OS and, excel, word, etc.
    • Good comprehension of mechanical, architectural and structural drawings
    • Good knowledge of building methods and materials

 

 

Relevant Qualifications or Experience:

    • College Certificate in Computer Aided Design and Drafting (AutoCAD/BIM)
    • College Diploma in Architectural Technician or Technology
    • College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology
    • 5+ years industry experience, including some site experience
