The Best Places to Work in Ottawa program is organized annually by the Ottawa Business Journal and the Ottawa Board of Trade. To be eligible, companies must operate in the National Capital Region, maintain a local office, and employ at least 15 people.

Participants are evaluated through a comprehensive process that includes detailed employer questionnaires and anonymous employee engagement surveys. Employees rate their workplace across key categories such as leadership, corporate culture, job satisfaction, training, and compensation. This year, more than 1,300 surveys were completed.

Employers are also assessed on benefits, work-life balance, and how they support employee growth, diversity, and overall well-being. Companies recognized as the best places to work in Ottawa stand out for consistently prioritizing their people.
